Society
Dr. Bryan is the founder and director of the Rainier Institute
of Technology. He received his first college degree from the University
of Washington and graduated from Washington University School of
Dental Medicine in 1982 as a Doctor of Dental Medicine. he has provided
dental care for the residents of the greater Puyallup area for over
twenty three years.
Having grown up in the shadow of Mount Rainier he graduated from
Sumner High School and was the youngest member of the Sumner Junior
Chamber of Commerce winning several awards of merit. In dental school
he received recognition from the Academy of Dentistry for the Handicapped
for his work in rural communities with the developmentally disabled
as well as disabled war veterans.
Dr. Bryan's community service continues to this day with his church
involvement and work with the Boy Scouts of America. He is currently
the President of Three Circles Washington -- a course of self defense
and awareness training to help community members, youth and adults,
to learn how to avoid, deter and survive violence in a world of
growing turmoil. He and his wife of thirty tow years, Diane, have
traveled the country providing this training nationally to both
celebrities and inner city families.
In the course of his career he has introduced many interested individuals
to careers in dentistry and has personally provided the training
to elevate every on who has worked with him to a higher level of
expertise and conviction.
He is a senior member of the Galileo Mentoring Group, a nationwide
organization which focuses on the study of ethics in medicine and
dentistry.
Emily
Sheffer, Lead Instructor
Emily has had 10 years experience in being a dental assistant as
well as working as a financial consultant and advisor for Paul W.
Bryan, D.M.D.
She has had excellent hands on experience with staff and patients
and does a wonderful job in the dental field, working in all avenues
possible. She currently works for Dr. Bryan as his financial consultant
and business manager. She is able to step into the back and help
with dental duties as well.
Emily has worked as a receptionist, dental assistant, treatment
coordinator as well as clinic supervisor. As our lead instructor
Emily has had many opportunities to teach and encourage people to
attain higher levels of skill. Emily is friendly, helpful and excited
to see each of our students excel. She is an excellent asset to
the education of all students attending the Rainier Institute of
Technology.
Sarah Batarsch, Administrative Assistant
Sarah is Dr. Paul W. Bryan's administrative assistant and works
closely with him to run the Rainier Institute of Technology, as
well as working on projects and different programs for the director.
She is in charge of all administrative duties and questions, as
well as registration for the program. Most of our students get to
know Sarah at the very beginning of their inquiries about our programs.
Sarah is our "go to girl" for questions and research.
Sarah has been instrumental in the development of our curriculum.
Sarah also is a skilled dental assistant. She has worked as a receptionist
and scheduler in the dental field. She is an invaluable asset to
our team.
Diane Bryan, Admissions and Accounting
Diane has had over 15 years of experience in the workings of the
dental office. She has worked as a bookkeeper, financial advisor,
receptionist, office manager and has even dabbled in the arts of
dental assisting. Currently, Diane works in Dr. Bryan's dental office
as a consultant and bookkeeper.
Diane and Dr. Bryan work together in teaching self defence training
and they have traveled all over the United States and Canada teaching
the program. Working with the Rainier Institute from its conception
has been a special delight for Diane. She looks forward to working
with students and staff to encourage them to achieve high standards.
Serving on the admissions committee as well as looking to many
details of the school's operation, she will continue to contribute
to the success of all who participate in the programs of the Rainier
Institute of Technology.
